University of Verona – Ph.D. positions in linguisticsThe University of Verona has currently opened Ph.D. positions in the humanities, including 3 positions for Linguistics, within the Ph.D. programme in Foreign Literatures, Languages and Linguistics. Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year fellowship. Since teaching in the Linguistics track will be held entirely in English and no previous knowledge of Italian is required, we encourage applications from international students.Information about candidacy can be found on the application website:

The selection procedure for the track in Linguistics involves evaluation of the candidates’ Master’s theses, their research project as well as a video conference interview. One of the three fellowships is reserved for a Ph.D. project in the domain of ‘Digital Humanities’. For this track we have 3 scholarships, concerning the following research areas: Chinese language and linguistics; French language and linguistics; English language and linguistics; Spanish language and linguistics. One out of the three scholarships will be focused on a research project concerning Digital Humanities.
