University of Verona – Ph.D. positions in linguisticsThe University of Verona has currently opened Ph.D. positions in the humanities, including 3 positions for Linguistics, within the Ph.D. programme in Foreign Literatures, Languages and Linguistics. Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year fellowship. Applications can be uploaded starting 1st June 2020. The deadline for online applications is 3rd July 2020. Only online applications through the university application system are accepted (please do not send applications via e-mail).

The selection procedure for the track in Linguistics involves evaluation of the candidates’ Master’s theses, their research project as well as a video conference interview. One of the three fellowships is reserved for a Ph.D. project in the domain of ‘Digital Humanities’. Description:
The Doctoral Program in Cognitive and Brain Sciences at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC), University of Trento, Italy, accepts applications for 10 fully-funded PhD fellowships. CIMeC’s program is focused on cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, computer science, linguistics and cognitive neuropsychology.

Students actively participate in international research projects, seminars, and conferences based in CIMeC, which includes the Laboratories of Functional Neuroimaging (LNIF), Animal Cognition and Neuroscience (ACN Lab), the CIMeC Language, Interaction and Computation Lab (CLIC), the Experimental Psychology Laboratories (EPL), and the Neuropsychology Lab (NPL).

The length of the program is four years and its official language is English.

Salary starts at approximately €1.200/mo., plus a €4887 tax-free research/mobility budget.
